London Child Development Clinic
Project Scope: Website design & Image sourcing
I was approached by the London Child Development Clinic to design and build a website aimed at families with children aged 0-18 years old, who were experiencing behavioural and developmental disorders. They wanted to avoid contrived stock imagery of families posing, and requested a more contemporary website that was both engaging and informative.
Due to the nature of the subject matter, the design of the site needed to be clean, functional and easy to navigate. Each section had to be clearly labeled and the imagery used had to be applicable to children, teens and parents alike.
I chose high contrast black on white for the majority of the content to compliment the bold colours used in the LCDC logo. I also picked out elements of colour used in the LCDC logo for rollover text, separator lines and hyperlinks in order to tie the website together.
An alfresco inspired suite of images were selected to reflect a fresh, positive, open feel to existing and prospective families coming to the website.
